Mixing her background in Microbiology, Human Nutrition and her unwarranted loved for science, Karyn uses her 15 years of experience and continuing education to create the best programs based on sound scientific method

While living overseas, Karyn became less active and slowly gained weight. One day while looking, with a friend, at some pictures of an event she attended, she pointed to a person in the picture and asked who that person was.  She was stunned when her friend remarked that it was actually her (Karyn).  She looked at the picture and didn't even recognize herself.  It had been a long time since she got on the scale and was shocked to see that she was a bit over 200 pounds.  

Having gone through the journey herself, Karyn understands the difficulties and sometimes emotional elements that come with lasting changes. After reaching close to 200 lbs and her knees starting to go bad, she was devastated. She decided that her on and off again relationship healthy living was getting her nowhere. It was a slow process for her... learning new habits, getting rid of the inner critic.  It was a long road to lose over 60 lbs. he started personal training and then moved on to kickboxing.  Karyn started to see her body change. 

While continuing with her kickboxing instructor, he one day mentioned to her that he thought she should go into personal training as a career.  So began, Karyn's road down the path of fitness, starting with her ACE Personal Trainer Certification.

She continued her education by getting a Master's in Nutrition at Eastern Michigan University.  Since then, Karyn has become certified with ICG Cycling, Schwinn Cycling, and Bender Barre. She is also a Precision Nutrition Coach (Pn1) and a Certified Life Coach. She is in the middle of finishing her PCC through the International Coaching Federation.  

She has extensive background in fitness.  She has owned a corporate wellness company, spin studio and worked with several athletes.

Uncovering different obstacle takes time and practice. After years of helping others lose weight, she came up with a method that helps you uncover the obstacles you may be facing, both known and unknown, and as a partner, she  will support you through this lasting journey.
