Our coach-by-color classes allow you to be in that 80-85% sweet spot of training. Using the proven science of functional threshold power (FTP) for training, we make sure you are at the right intensity to achieve your goals. Add a heart rate, and you have nowhere to go but up. Spivi® software turns traditional indoor cycling sessions into a fun and thrilling experience that passes the time in a flash. Your bike is directly hooked up to the avatar in on screen so you can control how fast or slow the avatar is going. Plus your information from the ride can be found online in your own personal area provided by Spivi.

This class will help you get the most out of our bikes and it’s completely free! We will go over the setup of the Matrix IC7 Bike Power meters, how it relates to your individual needs via Coach-By-Color and teach a few basic drills that will help you conquer each class.
Using the power meters to help find your personalized FTP (Functional Threshold Power), aka FTP, will help you reach your peak training level for all of our classes.
Cyclist will love that they can determine their Functional Threshold Power (FTP) at the end of class if they choose. This test is a type of VO2Max test that usually costs between $100 to $120 at other studios and it is free at Ascent.

No popcorn jumps, no hovers and no push-ups in these classes. This is straight on cardiovascular training. We take exercise seriously and will not include classes that are dangerous or can cause injuries for the future. These classes include training for Long Steady Distance, Power, Hills, Lactate Threshold, and Interval Training. No misleading claims in this class. You put the work in, you will see better performance and body changes.
We have the latest in technology with the Matrix IC7 bike. This bike can be programmed to your fitness levels, making it so no matter what fitness level you are, you are able to train in the class no matter what. This bike is more comfortable, can accommodate more heights of users and it uses WattRate® (power) meter accurately measures power with a margin of error of just +/-1%. Instead of trying to figure out numbers, we use Coach By Color, which uses 5 color zones for your personalized training goals. Power is an accurate way to measure your performance and allows us to create programming that will enhance your musculature, increase your performance and bring the highest calorie burn.
The narrow Q factor improves comfort and efficiency. The 300-degree magnetic resistance allows or a quick dial-in resistance level with the quick turn of the wrist and the gas-assisted seat post and handlebars allow for quick setup.
